Drishyam 3 is scheduled to release in theaters on Gandhi Jayanti (October 2), which is a national holiday. Being a solo holiday release, it is all set for a flying start at the Indian box office, with the potential to score 45–50 crore net (53–59 crore gross) on day 1. Overseas, it is expected to gross 15 crore or more. Overall, a 68–74 crore gross is expected on the first day worldwide.

Mohanlal’s Drishyam 3 had the potential to clock the biggest opening for Mollywood, but it didn’t. Still, it opened strongly, grossing 43.7 crore worldwide. So, to beat the Malayalam threequel, it must score above 43.7 crore gross, which will be comfortably achieved by Ajay Devgn‘s film. So, the Hindi threequel is all set to overtake the Mohanlal starrer by a huge margin.
