Milan, Tottenham and Aston Villa tracking Kim as Bayern weigh up former Napoli man’s future

Milan are among three clubs keeping tabs on Kim Min-jae, though any move depends entirely on what Bayern Munich decide to do with his contract.

According to German transfer journalist Christian Falk, speaking to CFBayern Insider, via MilanNews24, Aston Villa and Tottenham are also monitoring the South Korea international, who won the Scudetto with Napoli before his move to Bavaria.

No concrete talks yet between Milan and Kim Min-jae

Falk was clear that Bayern hold all the cards. “I can confirm that Bayern Munich will be the first club with whom the player begins any negotiations,” he said. “But everything will depend on several factors: what will Bayern’s offer be in the autumn, when his future is discussed? Will they propose a new contract to Min-jae Kim? Or will he remain among the players the club would consider selling to raise funds?

“That is why other clubs are keeping an eye on Kim. Aston Villa are interested and I understand that Tottenham and Milan are also assessing him. In fact, all three clubs had already made contact over Kim in the summer, but no concrete offer was ultimately made.”

He does not expect anything imminent. “There is nothing concrete at the moment. I don’t expect a transfer in January or anything like that. Everything will depend on what Bayern Munich tell Kim during this year’s contract talks.”

For Ruben Amorim, a 1996-born centre-back with Serie A experience would fit a back three currently built around Koni De Winter, Strahinja Pavlovic and Mario Gila. Milan are watching rather than moving.
