Veteran actress Ambika says Trisha Krishnan should avoid public appearances with Vijay; ‘If I were in Trisha’s place, and I knew that negative criticism would come...’

The recent public appearances of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and actor Vijay and actress Trisha Krishnan have once again attracted attention on social media. The two were spotted together at Ajith Kumar’s Le Mans Cup race at Silverstone in the UK, where Vijay flagged off the event.

Videos from the venue showed Vijay and Trisha watching the race, leading to renewed discussions about their long-standing friendship.

Ambika says Trisha should be careful about public appearances with Vijay

Amid the ongoing discussion, veteran actress Ambika has shared her views on Vijay and Trisha’s friendship. Speaking in an interview with RedPix, she said that a friendship should not automatically be given another meaning simply because one person has reached a higher position.

Ambika explained that she would personally avoid situations that could invite negative comments about a close friend who holds an important position.

She said, “If I were in Trisha’s place, and I knew that negative criticism would come, I would avoid going along. This is my opinion. We should value friendship, but we should also be careful.”

Ambika on Vijay and Trisha: ‘Don’t give friendship another colour’

Ambika also stressed that people cannot simply end a friendship because one person has moved into a more prominent position.

She said, “When two people are friends, if one of them reaches a higher position in life, we cannot reject that friendship. We should not give it another colour. We can say what we would do in such a situation, but we cannot tell someone else what they should or should not do.” She added that if her presence with a friend in a particular place could lead to unnecessary criticism, she would choose not to attend.

Her comments come at a time when Vijay and Trisha’s appearances together are receiving considerable online attention.

Vijay and Trisha’s long cinema association continues to draw attention

Vijay and Trisha have shared a long professional association, beginning with ‘Ghilli’ in 2004 and continuing with films including ‘Thirupaachi,’ ‘Aathi,’ ‘Kuruvi,’ and ‘Leo.’ Their off-screen appearances have also often become a talking point among fans. Trisha was seen at Vijay’s swearing-in ceremony in May, where she interacted with his family. Neither actor has publicly confirmed the relationship rumours that have circulated around them.
