Translate

The Ogun State Government has allocated ₦987.185 million for palliative support for public servants between April and December 2026, including ₦327.31 million earmarked for the fourth quarter.

Disclosing this in a statement on Friday, the Head of Service, Olanrewaju Iskeel Saka, said the sustained intervention reflected the administration’s commitment to workers’ welfare and its efforts to cushion the effects of prevailing economic challenges.

The latest allocation of ₦327,310,000 covers October to December 2026, following ₦330,630,000 allocated for April to June and ₦329,245,000 for July to September, bringing the total provision for the three quarters to ₦987,185,000.

The continuation of the programme underscores the government’s determination to sustain support for public servants amid economic pressures, particularly the rising cost of transportation and other essential expenses.

The intervention also highlights the administration’s recognition of the importance of workers’ welfare to productivity, effective public service delivery and the implementation of its development agenda.

By extending the palliative support through December, the administration of Governor Dapo Abiodun is maintaining a welfare measure designed to ease the financial burden on workers while ensuring that the public service continues to deliver essential services to residents across the state.
