Bangladesh’s Sobhana Mostary becomes eighth visiting batter to score ODI ton against Australia

Bangladesh’s Sobhana Mostary became only the eighth visiting batter to score a century against Australia in the second ODI between the two sides at the Allan Border Field in Brisbane on Sunday, October 11.
Mostary scored 118 from 134 balls with 18 fours, and raised her maiden ODI ton from 123 balls. Together with captain Nigar Sultana Joty, she added 195 from 243 balls as Bangladesh recovered from 8 for three to 220 for six at the end of its 50 overs.

The last visiting batter to reach three figures against Australia on foreign soil was Smriti Mandhana, who raised a ton in Perth in December 2024. Smriti is the only batter with more than one ton, having also scored on in Hobart in 2016.
There are four batters from New Zealand (Debbie Hockley, Aimee Watkins, Suzie Bates, and Amy Satterthwaite) on the list.
