Drake does not have a second child on the way. Canadian singer Keshia Chanté dispelled the rumors of Drizzy being the father of her baby after speculation continued to mount following her maternity photo shoot landing on social media.

Chanté joined Canada’s news channel CP24 for an interview on Wednesday (Oct. 7) to put an end to the gossip once and for all. “He is not the dad,” she confirmed. “We were talking about it yesterday, like, ‘Why is this happening?’ I don’t know. But no, he’s not the dad.”

However, the former 106 & Park host revealed that the father of her baby is in the music industry. “My son’s father, I love him dearly, he’s in the music industry and he’s also a public figure,” she added. “So I’m excited to see my son be this little musical, magical person.”

Rumors circulated about Drake potentially being the dad of her baby earlier this week, as fans incorrectly connected him to Chanté’s maternity shoot at Toronto’s Casa Loma. A rep for Drizzy denied he was the father to TMZ on Tuesday (Oct. 6).

Drake and Chanté have plenty of history, as they were aspiring artists and entertainers coming up in Toronto at the turn of the century. They even dated in the early 2000s, and remained friends as their careers took on different paths.

OVO fans also speculated that the “Kiki” Drake was aluding to in his Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 hit “In My Feelings” was Chanté. Genius debunked the theory, reporting that the “Kiki” in question on the Scorpion single was actually social media personality K’yanna Barber.

Drake ended up reuniting with Chanté at a Toronto show in 2022, bringing his ex on stage and referring to her as his “first girlfriend.”

Drizzy’s only known child is Adonis Graham, who will be celebrating his 9th birthday on Sunday (Oct. 11). The little boy’s mother is Sophie Brussaux.

On the music front, Drizzy delivered his HABIBTI (FOMO) deluxe with four new songs on Oct. 2, which were initially previewed in his FOMO short film in September.
