Egypt sends tents, winter supplies to Gaza

“Egypt has begun distributing new tents to displaced Palestinian families in Gaza as part of efforts to prepare for the approaching winter,” Egyptian Committee for Gaza Relief spokesman Mohamed Mansour said on Saturday, October 10, 2026.
In remarks to Extra News TV, Mansour said that emergency teams were identifying families living in damaged tents and replacing their shelters with new ones delivered by Egyptian relief convoys.
Mansour warned that the coming winter could be particularly difficult for Gaza residents, many of whom are living in temporary shelters.
He said the committee was also expanding its work in education and healthcare.
More than 36,000 Palestinian students have returned to school this year after the committee helped equip and open 20 schools in cooperation with the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), the Palestinian Education Ministry and UN organizations.
Mansour added that the committee had equipped mobile medical clinics that would soon begin providing healthcare for women and children in northern Gaza.
