Telecel Cash Ready Loan surpasses GH¢1bn in loan disbursements

Translate

Telecel Cash has achieved a major milestone, disbursing over GH¢1 billion through its Ready Loan service, reaffirming its commitment to expanding access to convenient, affordable, and inclusive digital financial services for Ghanaians.

Launched in partnership with CBG Ghana and Simbrella Ghana Limited, Ready Loan provides eligible Telecel Cash customers with instant access to short-term credit directly through their mobile money wallets, enabling them to address urgent financial needs, manage cash flow gaps, and seize personal or business opportunities as they arise.

The achievement reflects the growing demand for accessible digital credit solutions, and the trust customers continue to place in Telecel Cash as a reliable provider of innovative financial services.

For many individuals and small business owners, access to traditional forms of credit can be challenging due to lengthy application processes, collateral requirements, and limited access to banking services.

Ready Loan bridges this gap by providing a fully digital borrowing experience that is quick, convenient and accessible from any mobile phone.

Eligible customers can access loan amounts of up to GHS 2,500, based on their assigned credit limits, with funds disbursed directly into their Telecel Cash wallets within minutes.

The service enables customers to respond to unexpected expenses, support household needs, manage day-to-day business operations, and meet short-term financial obligations without disruption.

The GHS 1 billion milestone is more than a business achievement. It represents thousands of customers who have benefited from access to formal digital credit through their everyday mobile money activity.

Commenting on the milestone, Fui Fiadjoe, Managing Director of Simbrella Ghana Limited, reaffirmed their commitment to driving significant loan disbursement volumes while upholding safety, responsibility, and inclusivity.

Philip Amoateng, Managing Director of Telecel Mobile Financial Services, said, “As digital financial services continue to transform lives across Ghana, Telecel Cash remains focused on developing solutions that make financial services simpler, more accessible and more relevant to customers.

"Through services such as Ready Loan, Telecel Cash is helping to deepen financial inclusion while empowering customers with greater financial flexibility and control. We encourage all customers to borrow responsibly and make repayments on time to maintain access to the service and support future credit eligibility.”

Eligible customers can access Ready Loan by dialling *110#, selecting Financial Services (Option 5) and then Loans (Option 2) to view their available credit limit and complete a loan request in a few simple steps.
