Dementia-stricken Bruce Willis, 71, appears in rare photo at daughter Tallulah's wedding… four years after Hollywood retirement due to health battle

Bruce Willis appeared in a rare photo with his youngest daughter Tallulah at her wedding that took place over the past weekend. 

The 71-year-old star, who was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia in 2023, could be seen embracing Tallulah in a black and white image shared by Vogue on Friday. 

The Die Hard actor draped his right arm over her shoulders as she sweetly leaned in for the hug.

The groom, Justin Acee, also appeared in the memorable picture as he shook hands with Willis who held a smile on his face. 

He was dressed for the special occasion in a button up as well as trousers and a fedora placed on top of his head. 

Tallulah wore a sleeveless Alaia dress that stopped a few inches below her knees and held a bouquet of flowers.

Tallulah and Acee said 'I do' during an outdoor ceremony that was held in the spacious backyard of her family home in Hailey, Idaho; the couple seen in 2025 in L.A. 

In a description for the image, Tallulah wrote, 'A tender moment with my dad and Justin at the start of wedding weekend.'

Daily Mail has reached out to reps for Willis for comment, but has yet to hear back. 

Both she and Acee said 'I do' during an outdoor ceremony that was held in the spacious backyard of Tallulah's family home in Hailey, Idaho. 

'It's the place where I learned to run free and be the dreamer that I am today,' she told Vogue. 

'Justin and I have spent so much time up there that even though it has such emotional pull for me, he feels very much a part of the fabric of the property.' 

And after the wedding weekend, Tallulah expressed that she feels 'overwhelmed with gratitude and delight to begin this next chapter. The wedding was more than my wildest dreams.' 

She had worn a custom Balenciaga strapless gown designed by the brand's creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli which contained a bow bustle and flowy train in the back. 

The bride paired the dress with elbow length gloves and swept her locks into a classic updo.

Just days before tying the knot, Tallulah had her fitting at the iconic Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood. 

'My biggest hope [for the dress] was that [it would be] something magical, but magical in a way that was unexpected, kind of like me,' she also told Vogue. 

'I've worked very hard to be comfortable in my own skin, to be in something that there's a strength in is profound for me.'

The media personality added, 'I've worked so hard in my life to be able to find that beauty every day… this is definitely a very special peak celebration moment of beauty.' 

Tallulah's older sisters Rumer and Scout were her bridesmaids and wore custom Balenciaga silk-chiffon draped gowns in light blue hues. 

Her mother Demi Moore was also in attendance and had donned a strapless teal dress for the occasion.

Following the wedding ceremony, the bride and groom as well as guests took part in cocktail hour and a relaxing outdoor reception. 

A tent was set up for later in the evening where Tallulah and Acee, as well as loved ones and friends danced the night away.

Willis and Moore share Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah, whom they welcomed during their marriage from 1987 through 2000. 

The actor later married Emma Heming in 2009 and the couple are parents to Mabel, 14, and Evelyn, 12. 

Willis notably retired from acting in 2022 after he was diagnosed with aphasia. The following year, his family announced that it had progressed to FTD (frontotemporal dementia). 

Last year in August, it was revealed that the Pulp Fiction star moved to a separate home just down the street from his and Heming's primary residence where he receives 24/7 care. 

During a past appearance on the Conversations With Cam podcast in January, Heming shared that she visits her husband 'all the time.'

Both she and their children also have dinner with the actor several times a week, and she often enjoys breakfast with Willis. 

'We are over there all the time. It is our second home, and it's a place where we make memories.' 

She added, 'And that house supports Bruce's every need, 24/7 and our other home, where our kids are, now they're supported, now their needs are met and that's worked so well for us.'

Tallulah has also gotten candid about her father's health and penned in a 2023 essay for Vogue, 'I keep flipping between the present and the past when I talk about Bruce: he is, he was, he is, he was'
