Officials said those repatriated had been arrested and prosecuted under Thai law, with their legal cases concluded and sentences completed.

The repatriation was conducted under Section 54 of the Immigration Act B.E. 2522 (1979), which governs the removal of foreign nationals from Thailand.

Authorities said the operation was part of ongoing cooperation between security agencies and immigration officials to manage immigration and maintain order along the Thai-Cambodian border.
