Nelson Dilipkumar’s Jailer 2 had everything fans expected: high-octane action, Anirudh’s thumping background score, and superstar Rajinikanth back in his deadliest element as Tiger Muthuvel Pandian. But the film pulled off a great cliffhanger with its end, and now that most of you might have watched it, we could discuss that brilliant hook in detail because it screams the possibility of a threequel right there!

Will There Be A Jailer 3?

If you walked out of the theater wondering what that final message to Muthu meant and if Kantha is pulling off another deadly comeback plan, then you might be thinking right! As Vijay Sethupathi enters the last frame of Jailer 2, the film screamed at the possibility of Jailer 3, which is officially not on the cards, but never say never!

The Final Showdown: How Tiger Dismantles The Syndicate

Throughout the second half of Jailer 2, Muthuvel Pandian faces an overcrowded, ruthless syndicate of antagonists played by SJ Suryah, Mithun Chakraborty, Jatin Sarna, and Vidya Balan, and their army of henchmen. While the narrative struggles with pacing, the climax reverts to pure whistles as Rajinikanth starts dismantling their empire!

The Good Morning Message – Will Tiger Respond To Kantha’s Text?

In the last scene, we see Kantha sending a text message to Tiger, and a new entry telling him to reply! Just when we assumed the movie wrapped up with Tiger’s surrender, Nelson drops a curveball that completely changes the context. Throughout the film, we felt Vidya Balan’s character, Kantha, hint at a much deeper, untold history.

Kantha isn’t just an ordinary villain; she holds a unique grip on the syndicate, and in the final scene of the film, as Tiger sits in the police van, a text message from Kantha changes the narrative! The ambiguity leaves room for an entire character dynamic to explore in a future installment!

Vijay Sethupathi’s Smirk – Jailer 3’s Setup!

As if the cliffhanger with Kantha wasn’t enough, Nelson inserts a classic end-credit cameo that sets the excitement for Jailer 3. Vijay Sethupathi makes a surprise, high-impact appearance as a police officer who seems to be Kantha’s messenger! He breaks into a chilling, calculated, and sinister smirk. This ending hints that Tiger Muthuvel Pandian’s journey is far from over. Jailer 3 definitely might be around the corner!
