2027: NDC guber candidate pledges to industrialise Delta

Translate

The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) Delta  Governorship  Candidate  Mr Chris Iyovwaye, has  pledged to drive  industrialisation as vehicle for job creation and sustainable development in the state if elected in 2027.

Iyovwaye made the pledge during a consultation with Chief Emmanuel Nwachukwu, Managing Director, Benco Pools, and his grassroots movement  on Friday in Agbor, Ika South Local Government Area of Delta.

The NDC delegation, led by Iyovwaye, includes  the party’s Delta North senatorial candidate, Mr Victor Ochei, and other candidates from Ika Federal Constituency.

Others were the party’s candidates for Ika North-East Constituency I, Mr Sylvester Chukwuedo, and Ika South Constituency, Mrs Ogor Tony-Obuh.

Iyovwaye criticised poor management of Delta’s common patrimony and the lack of innovative leadership capable of translating resources into tangible benefits.

He said industrialisation would drive economic growth, create employment and promote sustainable development if supported by practical policies and measurable results.

The governorship candidate said the NDC remained committed to changing the state’s development trajectory through policies that would unlock its economic potentials.

Iyovwaye also expressed confidence in the quality of the party’s candidates across all levels, including its presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi.

He called for the support of Nwachukwu and his associates, saying Delta has greater economic potential than the  reflected  current level of development.

Also, Ochei thanked Nwachukwu for receiving the delegation and recalled his earlier visit to the business leader a few days before the consultation.

He described the developing relationship as a partnership with the potential to benefit all parties, particularly the people.

The other candidates outlined their commitment to effective representation and development and reinforced the delegation’s message of coordinated engagement across Ika Federal Constituency and Delta North.

The party’s Delta North Senatorial Chairman, Mr Aaron Ebenuwa, also led members of the party leadership on the visit.
