No Kings Day: Thousands rally across US against Trump

Translate

Thousands marched in US cities for a nationwide ‘No Kings’ protest against President Donald Trump, urging equal rights and early voting.

Thousands of demonstrators gathered in Washington DC, Los Angeles and South Portland, Maine, on Saturday for a nationwide ‘No Kings’ day against President Donald Trump. In the capital, marchers carried a papier-mâché figure of him near the Lincoln Memorial.

Crowds in Los Angeles filled the area outside City Hall, where one man came dressed as Batman.

Many signs urged people to vote early in the midterm elections. In South Portland, people lined the roadside while drivers honked their horns.

Speakers and marchers called for equal rights, and some demanded an end to ICE.
