England bowl first in bid for series clean sweep against Sri Lanka

For a second straight game, England have won the toss and put Sri Lanka in to bat, as the home side hunt their 15th straight win in T20Is against the visitors, alongside a series clean sweep. The action has moved to Manchester, where there was some rain about earlier in the day but that has been followed by clear skies.

An added motivation - if England needed any - is that victory here will also see them leapfrog India to the top of the men's T20I rankings.

Harry Brook at the toss said his side were keen to chase, while Charith Asalanka conceded Sri Lanka would have bowled first as well given the option. England have named an unchanged XI, while Sri Lanka have made just the one change - they have opted for Nuwan Thushara's slingers over Dushmantha Chameera's more conventional seam and bounce.

The pitch at Old Trafford is expected to be a belter. England chased down a target of 191 against India last time out, while it's also the same venue at which they posted 304 for 2 against South Africa last September.
