Jhené Aiko has teamed up with Kendrick Lamar on a collaborative new song – listen to ‘So Good’ below.
The reflective track appears on R&B singer Aiko’s fourth studio album, ‘Westside Whimsy’, which was released today (Friday September 11).
“I can’t let a messy bitch get in my way/ I’m way too grown plus I’m top rank,” Aiko sings, with the artist swapping verses with Lamar. “Who was popping it ’til they got spanked/ West side, everything/ Pipe, pipe, pipe it up/ Ghetto intellectual, swerving through the jet fuel, breaking down the decimals,” she adds.
Lamar raps: “Beauty and the brains aye, what we doin’?/ Money out here, baby what we, I say/ Face all stupid/ Body, stupid/ Got me, stupid/ Hottie, stupid.”

Lamar is credited as a co-writer on the cut. The rapper previously joined forces with Aiko on his 2010 mixtape ‘Overly Dedicated’. He then contributed a verse to ‘Stay Ready (What A Life)’ from Aiko’s debut EP, 2013’s ‘Sail Out’.
The 20-track ‘Westside Whimsy’ also boasts team-ups with Larry June, Ab-Soul, Tyga and Ohma.
Lamar surprise-released his sixth and latest studio album, ‘GNX’, in late 2024. In a glowing, five-star review, NME wrote: “After a year full of scathing diss tracks and unfiltered loathing, Lamar converts that energy into the purest emotion of all – love – while carrying the West Coast on his back.”
The star headlined the Super Bowl Halftime Show last year, with the performance later becoming the most-watched Super Bowl gig ever. Lamar won the Emmy Award for Outstanding Music Direction for his Halftime Show.
Last summer, Lamar featured on Clipse’s ‘Chains & Whips’, and joined the duo on stage in Los Angeles. The track won the award for Best Rap Performance at the Grammys 2026, where Lamar picked up five trophies in total.
The rapper collaborated with Baby Keem on the song ‘Good Flirts’ earlier this year.
