Rupee gains against US dollar

NEW DELHI: Rupee jumped nearly 0.5% against the US dollar on Wednesday, climbing to a six-week high of 94.50. The rally came as foreign currency inflows linked to the Jio IPO and gains at the Dalal Street supported the currency.

This marked a 29-paise gain over its previous closing level. The move came after the rupee ended Monday's session at 94.91, down 2 paise against the dollar.
