India suffered a 0-4 loss to five-time world champion Brazil in an international friendly at the Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata on Saturday.
Chelsea’s Estevao opened the scoring for Carlo Ancelotti’s side in the 28th minute, before Pedro doubled the visitor’s advantage before the half-time break.
Samuel Lino, who came on for Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior before the start of the second half, scored Brazil’s third just before the hour-mark to put the game beyond doubt.
Then with the last kick of the match, Lino scored his second of the night to cap off the comfortable win.
This defeat comes a week after the Blue Tigers held Panama to a 1-1 draw in Bengaluru. For their final fixture of this FIFA International Window, they will play Uruguay on October 6 in Kolkata.
