One of Cristiano Ronaldo’s profitable investments have turned heads in the last few months.

Cristiano Ronaldo buys a 25% stake in a Spanish second division club amid his profitable ventures

A few months ago, the Portuguese legend Cristiano Ronaldo ended up acquiring a 25% stake in the Spanish second division club UD Almeria.

As per reports, it has not been confirmed how much the deal cost but it was done through the Portugal captain's CR7 Sports Investments company, and is reported to be a long term strategic investment from Cristiano Ronaldo.In a statement, the star football player Cristiano Ronaldo weighed in on his investment as he said, "I have long had the ambition to contribute to football beyond the pitch,...UD Almería is a Spanish club with a strong foundation and clear growth potential. I wish to work with the team leading the club to support it in its new phase of growth."Spanish second division club UD Almeria’s coach Juan Francesc Ferrer 'Rubi' also weighed in on Cristiano Ronaldo becoming a stakeholder in the team as he said, "From our perspective, we're very happy…Of course, we welcome him. I think it's great news because someone like him, with his extensive knowledge of sport and football, can really help a club like ours”Spanish second division club UD Almeria’s coach Juan Francesc Ferrer 'Rubi' added, "It's very exciting for the whole club, the city, and the province.

Everyone knows the good relationship Cristiano has with the owners. "You find out things as they happen, but I don't think it's important when I found out or not. The important thing is that he's arrived here to join us [as a shareholder]. We're very happy."

In an official statement, the team wrote, “Cristiano Ronaldo has acquired 25% of UD Almería’s shares through CR7 Sports Investments, a subsidiary of CR7 S.A., marking an important step in the continued expansion of both the club and the Portuguese entrepreneur’s investment portfolio.”

As per Forbes, Cristiano Ronaldo’s private investment portfolio and brand equity are valued between $850 million and $900 million, contributing to an overall estimated net worth of $1.4 billionWhile the star player has been a force to be reckoned with on the field for the last two decades, it seems he is getting more strategic with his wealth.Though he has hinted at retiring, nothing has been confirmed yet.
