Spider-Man: Brand New Day is finally available to watch at home

Tom Holland's latest outing as Peter Parker, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, has become available to watch at home after a record-breaking cinema run.
Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, Brand New Day follows the devastating conclusion of No Way Home, seeing Peter's loved ones, including girlfriend MJ (Zendaya) and best friend Ned (Jacob Batalon), forget about him.
The film – which is set four years later, as Peter struggles with his mental health while battling a new threat played by Sadie Sink – is now available to buy and rent to watch at home. Brand New Day can be rented for £15.99 and purchased to keep for £19.99 on digital platforms including Amazon and AppleTV.

Meanwhile, it seems that Spidey fans will be treated to an extended cut of Brand New Day as a cinema re-release is reportedly in the works.
Cretton's film, penned by returning Spider-Man screenwriters Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, has grossed more than $2.5 billion globally, becoming the biggest-ever stand-alone superhero film and the third highest-grossing movie of all time, just behind Avengers: Endgame and Avatar.
Now, the movie is set to return to cinemas with unreleased footage, which might include a scene with Rosario Dawson's Marvel character, Claire Temple.

Claire, who has previously appeared in Marvel series Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist and The Defenders, was originally featured in Brand New Day, but her scene was left on the cutting room floor, as McKenna said.
The film's co-writer called Dawson "great" and explained the decision was due to time constraints, telling The Wrap: "If anything, you have a movie that is two-and-a-half hours long, and it's almost an embarrassment of riches with so many great characters and scenes."
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is available to rent and buy on digital platforms.
