The Ogun State Police Command has arrested a suspect, Adam Muhammed, and recovered a motorcycle and a generator allegedly stolen by him and his fleeing accomplice at Itori, the headquarters of Ewekoro Local Government Area of the state.
The arrest reportedly followed a tip-off from a motorist who spotted an unregistered tricycle conveying the items along the Onigbedu–Itori Road on Sunday morning.
The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, disclosed this in a statement issued on Sunday.
Babaseyi said, “At about 7:30 am on Sunday, October 25, 2026, a motorist travelling along the Onigbedu–Itori Road sighted an unregistered tricycle conveying a grey Haojue Lady motorcycle and a Firman generator, with two passengers on board.
“Suspecting that the items might have been stolen, he promptly alerted the police while trailing the tricycle to Complex Junction, Itori, towards Papalanto.
“Acting swiftly on the information, police operatives intercepted the tricycle. The two occupants attempted to flee, but one suspect, identified as Adam Muhammed, was apprehended after a hot chase, while efforts are ongoing to track down the fleeing accomplice.
