Suriya's ‘Scene’ first glimpse showcases eccentric cop avatar as Jithu Madhavan’s action comedy with Nazriya Nazim and Naslen to release on Diwali

Suriya is set to explore a different side of his acting with 'Scene, m' an upcoming film directed by Malayalam filmmaker Jithu Madhavan. Bringing together talent from Tamil and Malayalam cinema, the film also stars Nazriya Nazim and Naslen in key roles. The newly released title glimpse offers a first look at its quirky world, teasing a blend of crime, action and dark humour.

With Suriya stepping into an unconventional police role, the glimpse has sparked curiosity about what the filmmaker has in store.

Suriya plays an unpredictable police officer in ‘Scene’ glimpse

The glimpse introduces Suriya as DSP Inbaraj, a police officer whose eccentric behaviour sets him apart from his colleagues. When he arrives at a crime scene, he casually asks a constable, “Who killed whom?” The unusual question immediately establishes the character’s offbeat personality and hints at the film’s unconventional approach to crime investigation.Rather than portraying a conventional, stern police officer, Suriya’s Inbaraj appears unpredictable, with a distinctive way of handling investigations. Other characters describe him as a “psycho” and suggest that suspects are terrified of facing him in custody. These brief exchanges offer a glimpse into the character’s peculiar methods while leaving audiences guessing about what makes him tick.

‘Scene’ glimpse teases action, comedy and dark humour

Moving between intense action sequences and quirky comic moments, the glimpse suggests that Scene will take a different approach to the familiar police drama.

Suriya’s unusual mannerisms, expressions and sharp reactions bring humour to the crime-driven narrative, while the action sequences add intensity to the proceedings.Composer Sushin Shyam’s background score further elevates the visuals, lending energy to the glimpse and complementing its mix of action and dark comedy.
