Daily Snow Report: This streak isn’t quite as clean as it looks

Wednesday, 19 August’s Daily Snow Report shows another fine, warm day taking hold nationally.
It continues the settled run of the past week.
But it isn’t a completely clean sheet. SAWS has flagged one specific risk worth knowing about before you head out.
The weather service has issued warnings of extremely high fire danger conditions in places over the Walter Sisulu, Senqu, Inxuba Yethemba, Enoch Mgijima and Emalahleni local municipalities of the Eastern Cape.
The warning also covers the Northern Cape and the southwestern parts of both the Free State and North West.

Outside of those fire danger zones, it’s shaping up to be another largely settled day.
SAWS’ own outlook does flag a shift building further east.
According to SAWS, fine and warm conditions dominate again
According to SAWS, most of the interior can expect another fine, warm day, extending the run of settled weather the country has seen over the past week.
The main change to watch is along the east coast and its adjacent interior, where conditions turn partly cloudy, with isolated rain and showers possible in KwaZulu-Natal and Mpumalanga.
Why the fire danger warning matters even on a fine day
It’s easy to assume a fine, warm forecast means low risk everywhere.
But SAWS’ fire danger warning is a reminder that dry, settled conditions can raise fire risk in certain regions, especially where SAWS has flagged extremely high ratings.
SAWS advises residents and farmers in the affected municipalities to avoid any activity that could spark a veld or bush fire until conditions ease.
I always assume fine weather means an easy day on this beat, hey, but this one had a catch buried further down the SAWS bulletin.
Would a fire danger warning change your plans even on an otherwise fine day?
