The President of Poland, Karol Nawrocki, will make his first state visit to the Philippines from October 5 to 8 as Manila and Warsaw seek to strengthen bilateral cooperation.
According to the Presidential Communications Office (PCO), Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos and his Polish counterpart are expected to discuss regional and international issues of common interest.
“The visit is expected to open more opportunities for cooperation between the two countries in key areas, including defense and security, trade and investment, agriculture, science and technology, information and communications technology, legal cooperation, tourism, and people-to-people exchanges,” the PCO said.
The Philippines and Poland established diplomatic ties on September 22, 1973.
In 2025, Poland became the Philippines' 28th top trading partner. Additionally, around 25,000 Filipinos reside in Poland, deepening the personal and cultural connections between the two nations, the PCO said.
During the 50th anniversary of the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation (TAC) hosted by the Philippines during its 2026 ASEAN Chairship in Manila, Poland formally acceded to the treaty alongside Lithuania, Romania, and Sweden.
