An assessment held by the IDF, Israel Police, and the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) was held to prepare for the upcoming weeks’ “sensitive period,” the organizations announced in a joint statement on Wednesday.

The meeting aimed to ensure “proper and safe conduct” for the upcoming elections, the statement said.

Chief of Staff Major General Aial Zamir, Police Commissioner Major General Danny Levy, and Shin Bet Director David Zini attended the meeting and agreed on a series of measures to leverage the advantages of each organization.

During the meeting, security officials reviewed the intelligence situation on all of Israel’s borders, as well as within the country.

Additionally, efforts to improve and strengthen multi-agency defense, combat terrorist organizations, and address the phenomenon of nationalist crime were also discussed.

The meeting occurred as the IDF released a summary of defense accomplishments on the third anniversary of the October 7 Massacre.
