‘We are conceding stupid goals’: Kaizer Chiefs coach admits

Despite conceding some soft goals this season, Kaizer Chiefs head coach Fernando Da Cruz believes his side are heading in the right direction.
Amakhosi have made a solid start to their league campaign, winning three and drawing three of their six matches. They currently sit eight points behind log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns, although Chiefs have two games in hand.
Da Cruz’s side will be looking to close the gap this weekend when they face Lamontville Golden Arrows in the Betway Premiership.
However, Chiefs will be hoping for a different result after suffering a 1-0 defeat to Abafana Bes’thende in the MTN8 quarter-final earlier this season.
One of the biggest concerns surrounding Amakhosi has been their goalkeeping department. Captain Brandon Petersen has endured a difficult campaign, with several costly errors contributing to dropped points.

Despite those setbacks, Da Cruz remains convinced that his team are progressing and believes they are on the right track as they look to challenge for honours this season.
The upcoming clash against Golden Arrows will provide another opportunity for Chiefs to demonstrate that progress and move closer to the top of the table.
The Kaizer Chiefs coach has praised his team for scoring goals but also raised concern on how they were conceding.
For sure, I’m very happy that we’re scoring,” said Da Cruz as per iDiski Times.
“We just concede stupid goals, so we need to look forward. But we’re on the [right track] because every game we score.
“We’ll continue to attack and continue to develop our model game.”
