From Thor reuniting with his mother and Captain America lifting Mjolnir to Natasha Romanoff’s emotional reunion with Clint Barton and Tony Stark’s heartfelt hug with Peter Parker, Avengers Endgame: Encore delivers one nostalgic, emotional high after another, instantly giving that warm rush of happiness.
Marvel Studios brought Avengers: Endgame back to theaters with an extended version titled Avengers: Endgame Encore, featuring four minutes of previously unseen footage. The additional scenes are shown to connect the 2019 blockbuster with the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday. The new footage gives a glimpse of Doctor Doom, Loki, and Bruce Banner.
Avengers Endgame: Encore sets up Avengers: Doomsday
The newly added material was filmed during the production of Avengers: Doomsday and has been incorporated into Endgame to create a direct bridge between the two Avengers stories. Among the scenes are moments involving Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom and Tom Hiddleston’s Loki, while Mark Ruffalo’s Bruce Banner also features in the new footage.
One of the new sequences reportedly takes place during the emotional closing moments of Endgame, when Steve Rogers reunites with Peggy Carter. After returning the Infinity Stones, Steve chooses to travel back in time and live a life with Peggy. The original film ends with the couple dancing together, but the new footage adds further context to their story.
Avengers: Doomsday release date
Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled to hit theaters on December 18, 2026, the same day as Dune: Part 3, creating the much-discussed Dunesday clash.
