All the Guests of Carín León During His Residency at the Sphere in Las Vegas

Mexican superstar, Carín León achieved one of the greatest milestones of his artistic career this month by becoming the first Latin singer to perform at the Sphere, earning his first sold-out show at the iconic venue and bringing the desert vibe of his native Sonora to Las Vegas.

León’s debut in this groundbreaking establishment — which has previously hosted major acts like U2, The Eagles, Backstreet Boys, and No Doubt — marked his first residency in Sin City, where he brought together 20,000 people each night, according to figures from the promoters.

Initially, seven concerts were announced, running from Sept. 4 to 13 over the course of two weeks, bringing the best of Hermosillo to Las Vegas. However, the cancellation of his Sept. 10 concert due to “plane issues,” as the artist explained on his social media, shortened his stay to six nights, and triggered a wave of criticism for his absence.

For such a special occasion, the Mexican star was joined by a series of guests almost every night, sharing unique moments with his colleagues and friends. The lineup included big names such as country star Cody Johnson, Mexican hard rock band The Warning, Jorge Medina, Ricky Muñoz from Intocable, Kany García, Pepe Aguilar, José Guadalupe Esparza (frontman of Bronco), Reik and Cristian Castro.

The show featured a concept that evokes the levels of a video game, highlighting the massive screens of the dome, standing 366 feet tall and 516 feet wide. These screens displayed stunning visuals ranging from desert landscapes to scenes of his native Hermosillo, along with other iconic symbols representing the region and Mexico. With these visuals, Carín León celebrated his roots with the same pride he has always expressed for his homeland.

León will return to the Sphere in Las Vegas from Sept. 15 to 18, 2027, for the Mexican Independence Day celebrations. Tickets from his canceled September 10 show will be valid for the concert on September 15 of next year.

• Cody Johnson

  Date: Sept. 4

  The Sonora native dazzled during his debut at the impressive Las Vegas venue with a stage presence and vocal prowess that captivated his fans. For the opening night of his residency at The Sphere, León wanted to pay tribute to one of the musical genres that has inspired him the most — country music — and welcomed one of its stars, Cody Johnson, as a guest. Together, they performed a duet of their hit bilingual collaboration from 2025, “She Hurts Like Tequila.”

• The Warning

  Dates: Sept. 4-6

  The Sphere hosted the live debut of León’s collaboration with the Mexican band The Warning on the song “Love to Be Loved” on Sept. 4, 5, and 6. The powerful English-language track, released this year, showcases León rocking out in his first contribution sung entirely in English. The song blends country and rock, backed by the powerful harmonies of Carín and sisters Daniela, Paulina and Alejandra Villarreal Vélez.

  Date: Sept. 4

  Singer Jorge Medina, a native of Mazatlán, Sinaloa, was another special guest on the opening night of the residency, during which they performed “El Final de Nuestra Historia” and “En los Puritos Huesos” together, to the rhythm of banda music.

  Date: Sept. 5

  Ricky Muñoz, frontman of the legendary band Intocable, joined León as a surprise guest during the second night at the Sphere. The unexpected collaboration brought together two generations of Mexican music, creating a memorable moment for fans who celebrated a musical legacy that continues to transcend generations, borders and genres.

• Kany García

  

  Date: Sept. 6

  Puerto Rican singer-songwriter Kany García made a special appearance to perform her Leon collaboration “El Sombrero y La Camisa” live for the first time, as well as their previous joint hit “Te Lo Agradezco.” The event marked a special moment for García, who arrived in the United States to kick off a new leg of her Puerta Abierta Tour.

  Date: Sept. 11

  The day after canceling a concert at The Sphere on Sept. 10 due to “aircraft malfunctions,” León returned to the impressive venue for the second weekend of his historic Las Vegas residency. The night’s surprises included an appearance by Pepe Aguilar, whom he introduced as “one of my greatest inspirations in music.” Together they performed their emotional collaboration “Lamentablemente” and Aguilar’s iconic hit “Por Mujeres Como Tú,” ending with a big hug.

  Date: Sept. 13

  Jesús Navarro, Julio Ramírez and Bibi Marín of Reik joined the Mexican superstar for the grand finale of his residency at Sphere, where they sent the crowd into a frenzy by performing “Creo En Ti” — one of the Mexican pop group’s most famous songs — alongside León.

  The final performance at the iconic venue also featured Cristian Castro, with whom Carín performed “Yo Quería” and “No Podrás” — in a collaboration that brought together two generations and different eras of Mexican music, before an audience that had gathered at the venue to celebrate two of its greatest stars.
