Man jailed for charity theft at snooker star Wilson's home

Translate

A man has been jailed after he admitted burgling the home of former world snooker champion Kyren Wilson.

High-value jewellery, luxury watches, designer handbags and cash destined for a children's cancer charity were taken from his house near Kettering on 22 June, according to Northamptonshire Police.

Kane Lee, 28, of Albert Road, Luton, had initially denied the charge of burglary, but changed his plea to guilty at a hearing at Northampton Crown Court.

He was jailed for four years and ordered to pay a surcharge of £228 at a sentencing hearing earlier this week.

According to police, Lee acquired tools and clothing from B&Q and Tesco for the burglary, before driving from Luton to Kettering in a vehicle fitted with cloned number plates.
