Tate McRae goes all the way to No. 1 in Australia, as “Housewife” (via RCA/Sony) opens its account at the top.

“Housewife” becomes the Canadian pop artist’s first leader and sixth top 10 appearance on the ARIA Singles Chart. Lifted from her forthcoming fourth album, “Housewife” goes one better than McRae’s “Greedy,” which peaked at No. 2 in 2023.

Meanwhile, Olivia Rodrigo’s “Expectations” (Geffen/Universal) blasts 78-2, thanks to the release of a new version featuring Chappell Roan. That’s a new high for “Expectations,” which peaked at No. 14 in June of this year. Rodrigo now has 15 top 10 appearances on the ARIA Chart, while Roan has four.

Melbourne electronic music favorites The Avalanches start at No. 5 with No Bad Memories (EMI). It’s the group’s fourth top 10 effort, after their celebrated debut Since I Left You (No. 5 in 2000), Wildflower (No. 1 in 2016) and We Will Always Love You (No. 4 in 2020).

A former child star, Arena will celebrate 50 years in music with a month-long residency next August at Melbourne’s new Crown Live venue. The six-track Way Of The World EP got a boost from the Australian television premiere last Sunday, Oct. 18 of Tina Arena: Unravel Me on Seven and 7plus. Arena’s recording career has yielded nine top 10 albums, including two leaders: Don’t Ask (1994) and In Deep (1997).
