Steam Makes Near-Perfect 9/10 Game 100 Percent Free, No Catch

One thing we all love about Steam is that there's pretty much always something new you can play without actually spending any money. With recent hardware price hikes, gaming just keeps getting more expensive, but if you look in the right places and have a willingness to check out some smaller indie games, you can game on a budget pretty easily.

One of the latest free games to hit Steam isn't exactly as high profile as The Blood of Dawnwalker or Marvel's Wolverine, but it has been getting rave reviews from gamers who have taken the time to check it out... which is more than Marvel's Wolverine can say. In short, this is a game that's getting overwhelmingly positive reviews and is well worth your time, so let's take a look.

This Brand-New Free Steam Game Deserves Its Flowers

20 More, Somehow Even Smaller, Mazes is a game that delivers exactly what it promises, which I guess is why it's reviewed so well. Developed and published by FLEB, this is a puzzle game you can complete in roughly 30 minutes, and involves you navigating a number of tiny mazes. How many? I think you can probably guess.

At the time of writing, 20 More, Somehow Even Smaller, Mazes has an incredibly impressive 99% rating on Steam, which becomes even more admirable when you consider it's based off of over 1,600 user reviews.

"This is one of those small, compact, pure, no fat, just straight to the point, puzzles," enthuses one gamer. "Just a perfect little experience!"

Another writes: "Wow - the name caught me, and since it was free, I thought why not? An hour later, my partner and I are just grinning at each other. Had a great time, lots of fun little puzzles. Nothing so hard you'll get stuck for a long time, but still interesting with lots of little surprises. A really wonderful way to spend an hour."

"Another good one from FLEB," says a third. "Some of the mazes were a little confusing due to experiences with past games, but beyond that it was a decently fun hour."

Sure enough, FLEB has a track record of making really popular and well-reviewed puzzle games. In 2024 they released 20 Small Mazes to similar acclaim, so clearly this sequel is a big moment for FLEB fans. FLEB has also released a couple paid games, too, so if you feel like you want to chuck them some money for delivering two great free games, go ahead and pick up Strange Jigsaws or RYB on Steam if you get the chance.
