First look at Sydney Sweeney in sequel to hit thriller The Housemaid as filming begins

Production has begun on The Housemaid's Secret, the sequel to Sydney Sweeny's hit thriller, based on Freida McFadden's novel of the same name. Starring Sweeney alongside Amanda Seyfried, The Housemaid was a box office smash upon its release last year, with a sequel being quickly confirmed.
In the first set photos Sweeney is seen wearing a blue off the shoulder sweater, as she reprises her role as Millie Calloway. Another pic shows her alongside Off Campus star Stephen Kalyn who recently joined the cast.

As the pics show, Kalyn has dyed his hair black to play Brock, Millie’s lawyer boyfriend who knows nothing about her criminal past.
Production company Lionsgate also released an Instagram video earlier this week showing Sweeney on set alongside new cast members Kirsten Dunst, Brittany Snow, and Love Story star Paul Anthony Kelly.
Michele Morrone, who plays groundskeeper Enzo, was also shown preparing to reprise his role.
The sequel will see Millie "keeping house for a woman she’s never allowed to see — only to discover the truth behind the locked door that threatens to expose secrets far darker than her own".
Dunst has been confirmed as playing the mysterious Mrs. Garrick with Kelly as Douglas Garrick. Snow will play Marybeth, an unassuming receptionist at the Mr. Garrick's company.
Paul Feig will once again be directing with Rebecca Sonnenshine coming back to write the script.

Speaking when the sequel was announced, Feig said: "It's been thrilling to see audiences around the world fall in love with The Housemaid and the incredible work of our talented cast and crew.
"We're lucky that Freida McFadden has already extended Millie's journey on the page, and that we get to work with Rebecca Sonnenshine and Lionsgate to bring this next story to audiences."
The Housemaid's Secret is set for release on 17 December, 2027.
