Autoliv expands commercial vehicle business with MCF Safety Belts buy

Translate
  • Autoliv (ALV) has completed its acquisition of Italian seatbelt manufacturer MCF Safety Belts S.r.l. following final regulatory approval, expanding its presence in the commercial and specialty vehicle markets.
  • The deal supports Autoliv’s strategy to drive growth in adjacent markets, the company said.
  • The acquisition expands Autoliv's business further into off-road and specialty commercial vehicle markets and establishes a European hub for low-volume, high-variant seatbelt solutions.
  • "The acquisition of MCF Safety Belts is a clear strategic fit. It strengthens our offerings with capabilities that are close to our core, while giving us faster access to new customers, applications, and geographies," said Per Lindeberg, VP of mobility safety solutions, at Autoliv (ALV).
