Coronation Street reveals tense scene as Gary's rocked by sudden departure

Coronation Street has released a scene from next week's episodes in which Gary Windass struggles to keep his family together ahead of Sarah Platt's murder trial.
Gary helped Sarah cover up her killing of Theo Silverton, but the tensions have reached a boiling point.

We've already reported that Jake gets suspended from school for fighting, and goes to stay the night with mum Izzy Armstrong.
In this scene from Tuesday's episode, Gary meets up with Jake to try and repair things, but doesn't get the answer he was hoping for.
The clip starts with Jake arriving in Roy's Rolls and immediately asking where his mum is, and when Gary says it's just the two of them he turns to leave.
"No, please gimme a minute, Jake. Gimme a minute," Gary begs, and the youngster agrees to sit down and hear what he has to say.

Gary apologies for letting him down and promises to make it up to him, explaining that he's got a good lawyer who he reckons can keep him out of prison.
"Hopefully we can just put all of this behind us, yeah?" Gary added, trying to move the conversation to pizza and holidays, but Jake wasn't having any of it.
"You'd rather protect Sarah Platt than look after your own family, so I'm not going anywhere with you," he snapped. "And I'm not staying at yours anymore."
Can Gary convince him to move back in? And what exactly is set to go down at the trial? We've got another preview clip where Sarah is preparing for the worst and makes a life-changing request of Bethany.
And if that's not enough previews, we've also got the moment where Kit Green has his hair shaved off as he gets ready for chemotherapy.
Coronation Street airs on weeknights at 8.30pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
