The Beckhams, Rooneys and Vardys are just some of the famous families who have had the reality show treatment in recent months.

And now Sir Andy Murray and his wife Kim have joined the growing list of celebrities to have a fly-on-the-wall series.

The former Wimbledon champion, 39, has allowed cameras into his five-star luxury Scottish Cromlix Hotel for a new three-part series titled Our Scottish Hotel on Channel 4.

Filmed across a year, it will see the couple, who bought the 15-bed mansion in 2013 for £1.8million, take on their biggest financial gamble yet as they build a new wing onto the Victorian property.

It is the latest in their decade-long improvement works to the hotel, which is located on 34 acres outside his hometown of Dunblane and employs 80 staff.

Despite their attempts at keeping the luxury destination open throughout the works, viewers will see the hotel close down for five months as the builders move in to construct the new extension, which includes two restaurants.

The hotel boasts 10 bedrooms and five suites, with a private chapel and of course a tennis court.

Mrs Murray, 38, said: ‘The last couple of years have been really full of change at Cromlix with a huge building project and a totally new direction for fine dining and wellness, and I was really keen to document that as there were so many personal stories and interesting discoveries along the way.

‘Andy and I haven’t worked on anything together before, so that was a fascinating process - and a learning curve! I’ve loved shaping this building and estate into what’s now become a really thriving and much-loved Scottish business.

'I hope people enjoy watching the show and meeting the team behind the hotel.’

The show is set to be broadcast in December.

Emily Shields, Commissioning Editor for Channel 4, added: ‘Cromlix is a fascinating world to step inside, and this series offers a rare glimpse behind the scenes of a business where no detail is overlooked.

'Kim and Andy are embarking on an ambitious transformation, but at its heart this is a story about people: the team whose hard work brings Cromlix to life, and the shared desire to create something truly special.’

The couple, who married in 2015, will be hoping the publicity that will come with the show’s broadcast will boost visitor numbers to the hotel.

Previous accounts for Cromlix LLP that were filed to Companies House and seen by the Daily Mail showed it posted losses of £369,045 up until March 31, 2024.

The sum was an improvement on the previous year where losses totalled £919,572.

David and Victoria Beckham have had two Netflix programmes to date, a 2023 limited series which charted the former Manchester United player’s rise to fame, and last year his wife and former Spice Girl Victoria, 52, opened up on her life as cameras followed her fashion and beauty businesses.

Just last month Wayne and Coleen Rooney’s Disney+ series with their four sons was released, which followed a pivotal year in the couple’s life as Wayne, 41, stepped away from football management and Coleen, 40, launched her own product lines.

Earlier this year, Ms Rooney’s nemesis Rebekah Vardy, 44, also starred in her own show with husband Jamie, 39, for ITV, as they relocated to Italy following the end of his 13-year association with Leicester City.
