The African National Congress (ANC) will hold its Siyanqoba Rally at Sisa Dukashe Stadium in Mdantsane, outside KuGompo City, on Sunday, as it makes its final major push for votes ahead of Wednesday’s municipal elections.

ANC president Cyril Ramaphosa is expected to address the crowd around noon.

The rally marks the culmination of almost three months of campaigning by party leaders, from national to branch level.

Door-to-door visits

The ANC said its campaign included door-to-door visits, community meetings and engagements with businesspeople and professionals.

Ramaphosa said the party’s message had resonated with voters following these interactions.

The rally is the party’s final major campaign event in the province before voters head to the polls.
