Cybershopping made easy with Taobao

KUALA LUMPUR: Taobao Malaysia is offering free shipping on 400 million eligible products, alongside local return services and improved logistics, as part of its 11.11 Global Shopping Festival 2026.
The annual shopping campaign runs until Nov 13, giving Malaysian consumers access to a wider range of products and promotional offers.
This year's campaign also features a Zhang Linghe-themed in-app interface and a "Daily Treasure Hunt" activity, giving shoppers opportunities to win exclusive merchandise and rewards.
FREE SHIPPING
More than 400 million eligible products now qualify for free shipping, with no minimum spend required. The offer also covers single-item purchases.
Shoppers who want faster delivery can upgrade eligible orders to air shipping for an additional fee. Delivery to selected major cities can take as little as five days.
The free shipping covers participating fashion categories and lifestyle products, including home essentials, dinnerware, toys, pet products, beauty products and travel gear.
Throughout the campaign, Taobao is offering official platform discounts of up to 15 per cent across the site.
Other promotions include air-shipping discount vouchers released daily at noon and 8pm, instant rebates of up to RM50 for eligible RHB cardholders, and transaction fee waivers of up to RM8.
Shoppers can also enjoy 88VIP membership vouchers worth more than RMB2,525 (RM1,515) on the Chinese-language version of the Taobao app.
New users can receive perks worth up to RM40, while users of the Taobao English app can access exclusive platform vouchers offering discounts of up to 50 per cent.
For those furnishing their homes, more than one million furniture items, including sofas, dining tables and height-adjustable desks, can be shipped directly to Malaysia.
During the campaign, shoppers purchasing eligible furniture can receive shipping vouchers worth up to RM30.
Taobao Official Logistics also offers compensation protection for eligible items damaged during delivery, providing consumers with greater peace of mind when making home purchases.
EXCLUSIVE OFFERS
Taobao app users can participate in the "Daily Treasure Hunt" until Nov 13 by completing daily tasks, such as browsing products, placing orders and inviting friends, to earn points.
The points can be used to unlock eight exclusive behind-the-scenes clips featuring Zhang Linghe.
Participants will also have opportunities to redeem autographed items, limited-edition Zhang Linghe merchandise and Taobao red packets.
RETURN POINT PARTNERSHIP
Beginning next month, Taobao will partner J&T Express to progressively introduce more than 1,400 local return drop-off points nationwide.
The initiative will allow shoppers to return eligible purchases at nearby locations without having to arrange international return shipping.
The move further strengthens Taobao Official Logistics, which aims to provide greater certainty throughout the cross-border shopping process.
Its services include clearer shipping costs and delivery timelines, proactive assistance with parcel-related issues, compensation for lost or damaged shipments, and one-stop customer service.
Taobao Malaysia head Jess Lew said consumers were increasingly looking beyond everyday essentials for products that reflected their interests, lifestyles and quality expectations.
"Taobao is not only about helping Malaysians discover more great products at great value; we want to be the platform where they can find inspiration and trends anytime, anywhere.
"Ultimately, our goal is to make the entire journey, from discovering a favourite item to completing the purchase, as simple and seamless as possible," she said.
The Taobao 11.11 Global Shopping Festival 2026 reflects the platform's continued investment in the Malaysian market, with a focus on wider product choices, competitive prices and more convenient services.
