Cops arrest drug suspect, seize P1-M worth of meth in Iloilo raid


ILOILO CITY – Operatives of Police Regional Office 6 (PRO6) arrested a drug suspect described as a “high-value individual” and seized around 150 grams of suspected meth, or shabu, during a buy-bust operation in Buyu-an village of Tigbauan town, Iloilo on Friday.
Authorities identified the suspect as alias “Jojo,” 48, of San Joaquin, Iloilo, who was temporarily residing in Tigbauan.

Recovered during the operation were four transparent plastic sachets containing the suspected shabu, estimated to be worth P1.02 million, buy-bust money, and other non-drug-related items.

The operation was spearheaded by the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit of the Iloilo Police Provincial Office, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region 6, Tigbauan Municipal Police Station, and the Provincial Intelligence Unit.
Police Brigadier General Randulf T. Tuaño, PRO6 director, commended the operatives and partner agencies for the successful operation.
