The quarterfinals of the Sikkim Gold Cup 2026 saw two Indian Super League teams get knocked out as NorthEast United and East Bengal lost in their respective matches.
Both teams, fielding their reserve sides, were in action in Gangtok, with East Bengal taking on Sikkim Aakraman, while the Highlanders faced off against Singling FC.
Singling SC and NorthEast United played out a 2-2 draw before winning the quarters 7-6 on penalties at Paljor Stadium on Saturday. East Bengal, meanwhile, suffered a 1-2 loss to Sikkim Aakraman on Sunday to end its campaign early.

Gokulam Kerala beat Sudeva Delhi earlier to secure a spot in the final four, while Shillong Lajong is the only team remaining from India’s top two divisions remaining in the title race.
The 42nd edition of the Sikkim Gold Cup, also called the All India Governor’s Gold Cup, is being played between October 5 and 16, with all matches scheduled at the Paljor Stadium in Gangtok.
Indian Football League side Rajasthan United won the last edition of the tournament, with East Bengal and NorthEast United also making quarterfinal exits that time around.
