Prix Nobel de chimie attribué au Français Henri Kagan et au Japonais Kenso Soai

Une partie de ce secteur avait déjà été primé en 2001. Mais pas le professeur Kagan, considéré, en France et dans le monde, comme le "père" de cette technique. Ce qui avait valu les protestations à l’époque du ministère français de la Recherche.

Henri Kagan, 95 ans, est aujourd’hui professeur à l’université Paris-Saclay.

Kenso Soai, 76 ans, est lui professeur à l’université des sciences naturelles de Tokyo. "C’est le jour le plus incroyable de ma vie", a réagi le lauréat, joint par téléphone par la Fondation Nobel.

La chimie est le troisième prix scientifique des Nobel, après la médecine et la physique, attribués lundi et mardi.
