A former Strictly Come Dancing coach who trained young stars for the hit BBC One show has been accused of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old boy.

Warren Bullock was charged with two child sex offences by Staffordshire Police on September 15 following a report of sexual communication with a child.

The 61-year-old, who appeared at Cannock Magistrates' Court on Friday wearing a blue suit and tie, spoke only to deny the charges and confirm his identity.

He has now been ordered to appear at Stafford Crown Court ahead of his next hearing on November 16.

Bullock founded Wolverhampton-based Latin and ballroom dance school, Zig Zag Dance Factory in 1994 alongside his wife, a former Strictly Come Dancing coach.

It was previously reported that Mr Bullock trained a number of young dancers who went on to star on the hit BBC One show.

During their own ballroom career, the couple were coached by the late Strictly Come Dancing legend Len Goodman, who passed away in April 2023.

One of the charges against Bullock accuses him of having caused or incited a 14-year-old boy to engage in non-penetrative sexual activity involving a sex toy between 2021 and 2023.

The second charge accuses Bullock, from Lower Penn, Wolverhampton, of intentionally touching a 14-year-old boy.

During the hearing, the Crown alleged that he pinched the alleged victim's bottom.

District Judge Joseph O’Connor told Bullock: 'I am granting you conditional bail and some of the conditions imposed previously are going to be imposed.'

The conditions imposed include an instruction not to contact the alleged victim and not to work with any under-18s.

Bullock also starred in a Netflix TV series about the cut-throat world of children's dancing, called Baby Ballroom, in 2017.
