Elbit Systems has secured a $235 million government‑to‑government deal to supply EXTRA‑MR (Medium Range) rockets and PULS (Precise & Universal Launching System) launchers to an undisclosed European country, the company said Monday, marking another significant expansion of Israeli rocket‑artillery systems across Europe.

The three‑year contract, signed between Israel’s Defense Ministry and that of the unnamed country, covers delivery of the medium‑range variant of Elbit’s EXTRA supersonic rocket, along with PULS launchers, related platforms, and integrated logistics support.

Elbit Systems’ PULS provides a comprehensive and cost-effective solution capable of launching unguided rockets, precision-guided munitions, and missiles with various ranges. The PULS launcher is fully adaptable to existing wheeled and tracked platforms, enabling significant reductions in maintenance and training costs.

The EXTRA‑MR is a precision‑guided rocket with an 80‑km. range, designed for mid‑range strike missions against high‑value targets. It is fully compatible with the PULS launcher and existing C4I networks, positioning it as a flexible, lower‑cost option for armies seeking rapid‑response firepower without committing to full ballistic‑missile inventories.

The deal adds to a growing list of European militaries adopting PULS, which has gained traction among NATO members looking to expand long‑range fires after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Close to a dozen European countries including the Netherlands, Denmark, Greece, and Germany, have already selected the system in recent years.

The announcement underscores Israel’s accelerating defense exports into Europe, where demand for long‑range precision fires continues to surge amid shifting continental security requirements.

"This contract award further strengthens Elbit Systems’ position as a global leader in rocket artillery systems and reflects the growing international demand for our advanced rocket and launcher capabilities,” Bezhalel “Butzi”Machlis, president and CEO of Elbit Systems, said.

“The PULS systems and precision rocket solutions are recognized among the leading systems in their category and have been selected by a growing number of customers worldwide, including European and NATO member states. We remain committed to delivering advanced operational capabilities that support our customers’ evolving defense requirements," Machlis noted.
