Allu Arjun’s manager clarifies their take amid ‘Avatar’ comparisons: says, ‘The core team of 'Raaka' has never compared the film’

Allu Arjun and Atlee are working on their upcoming grand sci-fi film ‘Raaka’. The makers have joined with international studios for its making and is expected to have high-end VFX and visuals compared to international cinema.

Recently, the film caught the attention after filmmaker Cibi Chakaravarthi drew parallels of the film’s visuals with ‘Avatar’.

Amid the discussion, Allu Arjun’s manager Sarath Chandra Naidu clarified that the core team of ‘Raaka’ has never compared the film with any path-breaking or genre-defining movies.

Recently, Sarath Chandra Naidu shared a post asking fans what their fan theories are regarding the film.

Replying to the the post, a user wrote, “This is a request to #Raaka makers, @Atlee_dir & @sunpictures | kindly advise your marketing team not to go overboard with the choice of words for the film. The film is huge. I agree. The budget is insane and as you termed it global triumph maybe your aspirations are high and rightly so.

However, #Raaka is due to come next year not now; comparing the film with other popular path-breaking and genre-defining films might hurt the film in the longer run.

Let’s not get ahead of ourselves and focus on the content we have in hand. Advise your teams.”Reacting to the post about the comparisons, Sarath Chandra Naidu explained the team’s position.He wrote, “Thank you for sharing your thoughts. The term 'Global Triumph' that we used has a specific reason behind it, and you will get to know about it very soon. Also, just to clarify… The core team of #Raaka has never compared the film with any path-breaking or genre-defining films.

We are confident the content will speak for itself.”

The clarification comes after Cibi Chakaravarthi praised the visuals of the film and said that he felt they were even bigger than those seen in ‘Avatar’.

About ‘Raaka’

‘Raaka’ is reportedly being made on a large scale and will move across three different timelines. The film is said to feature wild beasts, exotic creatures and new species.The film features Deepika Padukone as the female lead and reportedly also features Rashmika Mandanna, Janhvi Kapoor, Mrunal Thakur, Aishwarya Lekshmi in key roles.The music for the film is being composed by Sai Abhyankkar.
