JERTIH, Oct 17 — A father and son are feared lost in a forest near the La Hot Spring recreational area in Hulu Besut after going there to look for medicinal roots on Thursday.

Besut police chief Supt Mohd Rozaime Ab Rahim identified the two as Adam Adnan, 25, and his father Adnan Mohamad, 57.

He said the two men, from Kulim and Alor Setar in Kedah respectively, were staying at Desa Landak Chalet in Kampung Padang Landak here before heading into the forest at about 7am on Thursday.

“At about 3.30pm yesterday, one of them contacted a family member and said they believed they were lost and could not find their way out of the forest,” he told Bernama today.

Mohd Rozaime said the two men could not be contacted after that call, raising concerns among their family members about their safety.
