Chelsea started the season well but has hit a stumbling block, losing two in two. A disappointing and rare loss to Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League and a penalty shootout defeat to Liverpool in the Carabao Cup.
One of the more curious issues picked up by Chelsea fans has been the lack of utilisation of Brazilian teenage sensation Estevao. The winger provided some exciting moments for the Blues last season but has rarely played this season under new manager Xabi Alonso.

Estevao has played just 172 minutes in the first team this season, with zero starts in the Premier League. He was an unused substitute in the recent Carabao Cup fixture against Liverpool as well.
Speaking ahead of the match against Manchester United, Alonso responded to a question about Estevao’s minutes with, “Sure, he will play. The season is long, and there will be moments for everyone. He will have his games, his minutes. We are still early in the season, but he will be there.”
He also remains defiant against the rumours that the teenager could be loaned out in January. Alonso remains focused on helping Chelsea return to winning ways in the Premier League.
