Celebrity Traitors' Sebastian Croft reveals one thing that led him to victory with Romesh

Celebrity Traitors star Sebastian Croft has revealed the reason behind his success on the BBC show - and it's all down to his close friendship with comedian Romesh Ranganathan.

During his exit interview the actor, who has appeared in a number of hit TV shows including Game of Thrones and Heartstopper, was asked who he felt closest to on the show. He candidly revealed: "I'd say Romesh, and that's ultimately why we were able to win together, because even though things were thrown around, I think we just slightly had each other's backs."

Recalling the moment he was faced with making the tough decision of whether to choose James Blunt, Romesh or King Kenny, Sebastian claimed that he was torn up until the last minute.

He said: "It was wild, I think until about an hour and a half before, I was so split between whether I was going to go with James until the end or with Romesh and Kenny.

"I wrote a list of everything that I thought James, Romesh, and Kenny had done that was Faithful since Hannah's banishment and the Traitors last recruited, and my list for Romesh was really long. My list for James was even longer, and my list for Kenny was almost non-existent. "

He added: "And then when we went to four and Kenny voted to end the game, I just knew he was a Traitor, and I was banking on James voting for Kenny, so it would be a split vote.

"If he'd gone for Romesh, James would have gone, and then it was just like Romesh seemed convinced that James was a Traitor, so I was like, I have a big job to do, and for whatever reason, Romesh and I just really trusted each other."

Having been away from friends and family while filming the series, the TV star said he could not wait until he was reunited with his phone. He went on to add: "I have genuinely missed being on my phone. I mean, it's allowed me to lock in on the game, which is great, but I miss talking to my friends.

"I miss being on social media. I feel like I have a whole cultural world to catch up on, and I want to go and look at the Met Gala looks, and I want to just catch up on everything that I've missed."

One takeaway from the series for Sebastian is that he has learned to trust his gut instinct more than ever before. At first he claimed that he feared he would let himself down.

He concluded his chat saying: "Every day I was waking up not knowing if it was gonna be my last, and the thing I'm so proud of is that I could have completely ruined the experience by being worried about going.

"And I think I made a decision before I even came here, which was, even if I go out first, if I'm worried about going first, I'm gonna ruin the only experience of it I have. So I almost just forgot about it coming to an end, and was just like I'm here now. As of right now, I'm still in the game, and isn't that amazing?"
