Indonesia raises DSI's authorized capital to Rp4 trillion

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesia's State-Owned Enterprises Regulatory Agency (BP BUMN) has raised the authorized capital of PT Danantara Sumberdaya Indonesia (DSI) to Rp4 trillion (about US$221 million) to support its role as the sole intermediary for exports of three strategic commodities.
BP BUMN Deputy Head Aminduddin Ma’ruf said in Jakarta on Friday that the increase took effect on May 25, 2026, alongside a rise in DSI's paid-up capital to Rp1 trillion.
Danantara owns a 99 percent stake in DSI through Series B shares, while BP BUMN holds the remaining one percent through Series A shares, which represent the state's golden share, Ma’ruf said.
DSI is also building its operational capacity, particularly by developing the systems and supporting infrastructure needed to fulfill its mandate as the sole export intermediary.
The company has strengthened its organizational structure through a general meeting of shareholders, which appointed professional members to its board of directors and commissioners, Ma’ruf said.
BP BUMN is committed to overseeing the mandate's implementation, which covers three commodities: crude palm oil (CPO), coal and ferroalloys, he said.
"We are also ensuring that the five state-owned banks under the Association of State-Owned Banks (Himbara), appointed to receive foreign exchange earnings from natural resource exports (DHE SDA), can perform their duties properly," he said.
The single-channel export policy through DSI is scheduled to take full effect on Jan. 1, 2027, following a transition period that began on June 1, 2026.
Under the mechanism, DSI will serve as the sole intermediary for verifying export documents and transaction procedures, without buying, selling or taking ownership of the commodities.
Commercial activities, including negotiations, pricing, contracts, shipping and payments, will remain directly between exporters and buyers.
DSI will also conduct checks before and after customs clearance, while the clearance process itself will remain under the authority of the Directorate General of Customs and Excise (DJBC) and the Indonesia National Single Window (INSW).
