Prabowo leads Pancasila Sanctity Day ceremony at Lubang Buaya

Jakarta (ANTARA) - President Prabowo Subianto arrived at the Pancasila Sakti Monument in Jakarta at 7:57 a.m. Thursday to lead the 2026 Pancasila Sanctity Day commemoration ceremony.
Prabowo wore a gray suit and was accompanied by Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka and Culture Minister Fadli Zon.
Commemorative activities had been underway since morning, including a performance by a student choir before the main ceremony.
Prabowo, serving as ceremony inspector, led a moment of silence to honor the heroes who died in the events commemorated on Pancasila Sanctity Day.
Regional Representative Council (DPD RI) Speaker Sultan B. Najamudin was scheduled to recite the Pancasila, followed by People's Consultative Assembly (MPR RI) Speaker Ahmad Muzani, who would read the 1945 Constitution's Preamble.
House of Representatives (DPR RI) Speaker Puan Maharani was scheduled to read the Pancasila Sanctity Day Pledge.
After the ceremony, Prabowo was scheduled to inspect the Pancasila Sakti Monument and inaugurate the Pancasila Sanctity Museum, revitalized by the Culture Ministry.
The 2026 Pancasila Sanctity Day ceremony carries the theme, “Pancasila, Uniting the Nation Towards a Sovereign, Just, and Prosperous Indonesia.”
Ministers from the Red and White Cabinet, heads of state institutions and representatives of friendly countries also attended the ceremony.
Indonesia commemorates Pancasila Sanctity Day every Oct. 1 in connection with the Sept. 30, 1965 events and to honor the Heroes of the Revolution who died during the incident.
