IDF to reinforce West Bank division during sensitive olive harvest
As a result of the increase in violence, the IDF is expected to reinforce its West Bank division to control tensions amid the annual olive harvest.
"The olive harvest season is known to be a sensitive period, and it is a time accompanied by various groups, including outsiders who do not live in Judea and Samaria but come to the area, who try to prevent the harvest. It is important to note that in 98% of cases, there is no need to coordinate with the IDF to harvest olives, and coordination is required in only 2% of the area," a security official explained.
