Alan Partridge icon Steve Coogan joins cast of viral sketch comedy for season 2

Translate

Steve Coogan is among the guest stars joining the second series of Ellie & Natasia, the surreal sketch show from Ellie White and Natasia Demetriou, which returns this month.

The comedy double act, who also shared the screen in Channel 4's Stath Lets Flats, write and front the critically acclaimed show, which has been away from our screens since 2022.

Season 2 brings new and returning creations, including 'Internet Nails' entrepreneurs Donna and Nikki, who seek to grow their hilariously flawed beauty empire.

On hand to bring the scenarios to life is a revolving door of big names, including Coogan, who recently starred in BBC One mockumentary How Are You? It's Alan (Partridge) and Netflix thriller Legends.

White and Demetriou commented: "We had a lot of people begging to be in the show and sadly lots of them didn't make the cut but the ones that did were definitely the funniest and best looking and transferred the most cash into our bank accounts."

Singling out their headline guest, the pair added that the line-up included "an up and coming comedian who we both have been championing for a while: Steve Coogan, expect big things from him!"

However, Coogan isn't the only notable name in the line-up.

You can also expect to see Sian Clifford (The Reluctant Vampire), Jamie Demetriou (Stath Lets Flats), Asim Chaudhry (People Just Do Nothing), Kiell Smith-Bynoe (Ghosts) and Vikki Pepperdine (Bad Education) pop up across the three-part run.

Completing the ensemble is Daniel Barker (Spitting Image), Dustin Demri-Burns (Am I Being Unreasonable?), Barney White (Professor T), Seb Cardinal (Here We Go), Alex Owen (Dreaming Whilst Black), Rosa Robson (Extraordinary) and Hugh Skinner (Twenty Twenty Six).

The new series lands on BBC iPlayer and BBC Two on Wednesday 21 October 2026.

White (The Completely Made-Up Adventures of Dick Turpin) and Demetriou (What We Do in the Shadows) executive produce alongside comic Harry Hill, who made a cameo appearance in season 1's most viral sketch.

In the skit, which was recently reposted to publicise season 2, White plays a chef on Channel 4's Sunday Brunch, whose simple salmon dish gets a surprising reaction from the studio.
