Jack Harlow is getting ready for some more Sweet Action. The Louisville MC announced the upcoming release of his Sweet Action II EP on Monday (Nov. 2), revealing that the seven-song sequel to the original 2020 EP will drop on Friday (Nov. 6).

According to a release announcing the EP it, “revisits the playful spirit of its predecessor with a more evolved perspective. The charm remains, but six years of life and experience bring a more candid, mature take on love, relationships and growing up.”

The collection opens with “Signora,” and features the Babyface collaboration “Too Soon,” as well as the songs “She Gets Me,” “610 Magnolia,” “Hold Back,” “Pressure” and “Move On.” The release described the vibe of the EP as “exploring the messy contradictions of modern romance, from new attraction and old attachments to jealousy and commitment. Blending sharp humor, conversational storytelling and vulnerability, the EP captures the tension between wanting love and holding on to freedom.”

In March, Harlow celebrated his 28th birthday by releasing his fourth studio album, Monica, an R&B turn that appears to be continue on the new collection based on the “Too Soon” preview the rapper posted on TikTok last week. In a clip in which he’s lip-syncing along with two friends to the song with the plucked acoustic guitar and prominent hi-hat, Babyface croons, “Is it too soon?/ Too soon for me to f–k somebody new?/ Too soon?/ Is it too soon?/ Too soon for me to love somebody new?”

Harlow has also previewed the slow-rolling “610 Magnolia” in the lead-up to the EP’s release. At press time Harlow had not announced any dates in support of the EP.
